Family Support Hawaii was awarded a $25,000 grant from The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation. This funding will be used to support various initiatives aimed at benefiting children and families within the community:
- Operating supplies and materials for our new infant and toddler center in Kealakekua, Hawaii. This innovative center will offer a home-like, nature-based environment that fosters children’s growth in language, literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional skills, arts, physical development, and learning approaches.
- Early childhood supplies for infants and toddlers in center- and home-based programs to support social-emotional, language, literacy, cognitive, and physical development. Materials for children with special needs will also be included, ensuring a holistic approach to individualized, high-quality learning experiences.
- Software and tools to analyze and share child outcome data, support ‘data storytelling,’ and improve developmental screening for children.
“We are honored to receive this grant and would like to thank The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation for helping us better create more enriching and inclusive learning environment for our keikis,” said Stacy Brown, Early Head Start Program Director.
