During the last week of September, our very own Early Head Start Director, Stacy Brown, joined with other Head Start and Early Head Start directors, managers, staff members, parents, and supporters from around the country at the 2017 Fall Leadership Institute in Washington D.C.

The institute included (among other things): a town hall, where people could ask questions of Head Start leaders; a day on the hill, where Head Start leaders could meet with lawmakers and discuss the importance of programs such as Head Start and Early Head Start; and a Families Unite for Head Start rally.

Stacy got to meet with Senators Brian Schatz and Mazie Hirono to reiterate how important these programs were for all of our keiki here in Hawaii and to thank them for their support. Good job, Stacy!
